"Chi" is generally defined
as "energy" or the "source
of life." The most ancient
symbol for Chi, however, is three
wavy lines which literally mean
"air." This is possibly why lung
capacity is so important to maintaining
your energy levels.
"Chi Kung" is a martial
art that involves controlling
the breath to promote inner
balance. But this focus
on the inner body has made Chi
Kung the most misunderstood and
inconsistent form of the martial arts.
In fact, it's a lost art and has
long been a bit of a mystery.
This is because most martial arts
deal almost entirely with muscle
movements, while Chi
Kung seeks to control the internal functions
of the body. But aren't these functions
involuntary? How can we control them? |
|
Master Lu realized this obstacle early
in his training and came up with a simple
solution. "If it's so difficult
to control where the Chi goes,"
he thought, "why not begin by absorbing
more Chi – enough to overflow
throughout the body."
With this goal in mind, Master Lu spent
many years training and researching
different forms of Chi Kung, Yoga, Tai
Chi, Kung Fu, and every other form of the
art imaginable. His research also included
studying ancient scrolls and history
books that were uncovered in the most
remote areas of Mainland China.
The result of all of this intensive
training, practice, and study is Master
Lu's Five Elements Breathing Method
and his 8-Step Lift Up Series created
especially for today's modern society
and environment. The exercises are geared
toward increasing your Chi, which gives
you more energy, stamina, vitality,
and harmony, while restoring balance
and health.
The best thing about Master Lu's methods
is that the exercises are easy for anyone
to learn. They're short, intensive,
and immediately effective.
